Connecting your database, whether it's Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query, Postgres, MySQL, or other to Google Sheets to export to excel or csv format is easy with LogicLoop. The first step is to connect your data source. We support popular databases like Postgres, MySQL, AWS RDS, or a data warehouse like Redshift, BigQuery, or you can even grab data from APIs like Stripe, Slack, and Twilio. Once you've signed up for your LogicLoop account, all you have to do is to go under the data sources tab in your LogicLoop dashboard and enter your database credentials.
The next step is to write your SQL query to grab all the data you want to export. You can go into your LogicLoop dashboard and add a new rule. Select your data source and you will see the relevant tables and columns you can query. The SQL query can be written to capture the logic and data set you need to express what you want to grab. Run your SQL query and you will see the results show up on the bottom.
Next, click the "View Action" button on the bottom left corner of your rule's page to have your SQL query trigger an action, like writing to Google Sheets. You will first have to create a Google Sheets destination. You can then run your rule on a cadence, say every day, to have it write to your Google Sheets file on a recurring basis. You can also email yourself the results in a CSV format to export to excel by choosing the email action, or manually click the export button to get your results immediately.
